BIOGRAPHY and recent activity
In 2019 Caroline sold several paintings in recent shows and was one of two chosen in Oak Bay to display a sample of her work on a banner in the town. Click here to see the original watercolour painting at one of its locations.
Over the years Caroline has received several awards with the Federation Gallery in Vancouver, the Victoria Chapter of the F.C.A., The Sidney Fine Arts Show, CACGV “LOOK” Victoria, and in the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria Rental and Sale Program where she has been a successful participant in their Summer Small Works Program.
An active member of five art clubs in Victoria, including the Victoria Sketch Club, the Oak Bay Art Club and the Oak Bay Community Artists Society, Caroline has served on several executive committees and given acrylic and watercolour demonstrations, and has served as juror for the Victoria Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Caroline had the honor of being chosen as one of sixty-five FCA artists asked to participate in the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “65 Red Roses” fundraising event in 2010 in Vancouver, honoring Eva Markvoort’s remarkable spirit (1984-2010), and creating one massive artwork consisting of 65 panels of each artist’s representation of a single red rose.
Working in both watercolour and acrylic Caroline’s principal interest is in landscapes. She has painted numerous commissions, including portraits of people and dogs, and has a growing collection of works in private homes throughout Canada and in Ireland, England, Wales, New Zealand and Australia.
